Below you can find some photos of my power supply that I built in 2002 and the link to obtain a copy (PDF) of the original article, including the schematics, published in the ARRL Handbook Issue 1986. It is a 12 volt linear voltage regulator and it avoids any RF interference like some switched power supplies may generate. At the same time it offers a very low susceptibility with respect to RF fields influencing its proper function. Some little changes in the design based on the availability of the components.
